Left me wanting more ... like when you finish the last page of that book you love and you never wanted it to end and for a short story to be able to leave you with that same feeling, pretty powerful writing. Halcyon hunter can't wait to read more of your work.

Nice twist, I felt all the emotions of a novel packed into one page. My kinda story!

I was left wondering what was going on then thought oh yes I want a sandwich. Sandwich please!

The ability to bring a reader into a story, feeling all that the writer describes as opposed to merely being an observer on the sidelines, is a talent. Each sentence is original, no common or predictable phrases here. I was completely drawn in and, during that moment, could feel the mother's anguish and her husband's sad frustration. Well done!

Thank you. I wonder if there is a longer story in there and this is just a tiny snapshot.

This is how to convey emotion. I found myself transported into a moment full of love, loss and sadness. A wonderfully descriptive moment. I want more. Thank you HuntingHalcyon for sharing this.
