This writing or piece came as a result of a coversation two elderly parents did some days back when I was on my way to town...it's been a while I sat and wrote a piece, but afyer that coversation I felt this should be a wake up call to both sides i.e the youth and parents too.

Capital Punishment

updated Aug 28, 2016

This short story is a fictional piece that hopes to incite many questions within the reader. It is more or less a commentary on the topic of Capital Punishment and is up for interpretation. The narrator begins by presenting us a question, and that is should he spare him. There are a multitude of ways one may interpret this story, and what is being stated, as the narrator presents his own views with the situation at hand. I hope you enjoy this short story, and hopefully it does its purpose well, and has you asking questions on the topic. This story can be read literally or could be thought of more as a symbol to some other overarching idea.

Greater Things
1 part / 23 pages
,
updated Dec 21, 2016

Greater Things is the story of Kristin, a young girl whose life was turned inside out in an instant, and was given no hope of normalcy. This book follows her journey of accepting her disability, while at the same time trying her hardest to overcome it. It is a raw perspective on everything from how people react differently to her situation; to learning how to navigate in and through an inaccessible world; to just trying to make the best of a crummy situation.  This not a book about falling apart, but rather about making the most of a heartbreaking situation, trusting in God, and waiting for Greater Things.   Please visit www.kristinbeale.com to read more.

The Ism

This an parable about belief structures like religion and ideologies, in the form of a narrative. The thing that fascinates me about people is that they seem to be entirely driven by fear, and this turns into anger, violence and rage. I am looking for an way to explore what someone believes, without causing them to fear me. This work is covered by creative commons. That means you are free to use this work to build upon or share it, I only ask that you mention my name in works using this material.
