The New Neighbor
1 part / 5 pages
,
updated Nov 30, 2013

Chapter 1                 It's been a year since my dad died and, I've changed a lot since then.I  never really play with my friends anymore. I never had a mother because, she died while giving birth. My dad never really  liked to talk about her.I'm staying with my Aunt Julie, and it's been tough on both of us.She'll never get me like my dad did, no one will.          Life goes on just the same I guess. I still go to school, and play outside, but there's still something missing." Marie, come down here for a second please," call Aunt Julie. "Coming," I reply. I go downstairs to see what's going on."Marie, meet our new neighbor, Mr. Adams," said Aunt Julie. " Hello," I say, just know noticing the man standing by my aunt. Mr. Adams was a tall, tan, and thin man. He had brown hair grey eyes. He did not look like a kind man, but he seemed polite."He moved here from Kentucky," said Aunt Julie. "It's a small state but, still my home," says Mr. Adams. He talked with a deep voice and didn't talk alot. Something about him didn't seem right, I didn't know what it was quite yet, but I wasn't about to stop trying to figure it out.

Pier to Infinity
1 part / 2 pages
,
updated Dec 06, 2013

The pier remembered so many stories. Sometimes it enjoyed great entertainment: some merry companies would choose it to host the party and shoot colourful bouquets of fireworks from it. The pier was truly happy then, for it experienced double pleasure: the spectacle in the sky and its reflection in the sea. It even had an agreement with the indefatigable water. The pier told it to stay quiet in nights like these and the water obeyed. The pier had also witnessed a lot of sad stories but gradually got used to them: the sea would take its toll and the people would reciprocate. The pier itself stood right in between. It often wondered why people left it like that. It felt incomplete and wished they’d built it much further. The pier wanted to cross the bay, reach further in the deep and meet the sun up close. However, it found out over the years that it all depended on itself. The only thing left was to wait.
