A Cautionary Tale
2 parts / 29 pages
,
updated Nov 20, 2013

This is a real love story where the man leaves the woman with the devastating words...I need to go for the real gold...She is completely shattered....She completely falls apart... she comes back together a lot stronger....  She knows he is chasing fool's gold...he is on a mission... he has a completely false image of himself...he doesn't yet know who he is... The reader is led along....did he really do that, you must be kidding, women wouldn't do that surely?....It is told in a conversational way as though gossiping over coffee.... The time-line is jumped around in as QB (the woman) remembers different scenes that she has played with Hat (the man). It's a cautionary tale of how when man has a false image of himself, acts with self interest reasons only, is afraid of his own shadow... he destroys all that has been good and beautiful in his life, and rather than face his inner demons, he demonises others... The woman is called QB...the reason is revealed at the end...what the nick name stands for. The man is called Hat because QB looks across at a photo of him and sees him wearing his favourite hat...she can't bear to look at Hat now....Hat is just how she always thinks of him... It is a Bridget Jones style book, but with observations of human behaviour and how the human psyche works...and also how when man strives for spiritual knowledge he often loses sight of living a good life...     .

Amazing Grace
1 part / 38 pages

updated Dec 28, 2013

A God like presence has come to earth and entered into the body of a woman who has fallen in love with a man who is self serving in his nature.   In the female form she wants to come to earth and see for herself why man is blowing his world apart. The man is abusing his power, he treats women poorly, and he is lying to himself about his motivations. He has a very polished public image, and tells everyone he is here to serve God's will. Behind closed doors he is abusive in his ways. The man has so many belief systems about how God should be he cannot recognize her when she arrives. He is terrified of being found out in his lies... The man gets into a relationship with the woman. He changes his mind about her not being right for him, and he begins to fall in love with her...but he keeps fighting a power battle to keep himself on top of his lies and self-sabotaging ways. He has styled himself into a spiritual guru and keeps telling the woman/God how ignorant she is....he uses his belief systems from a place of fear and murders his own happiness.  The man is reflective of the world and how using beliefs, religious or spiritual, in a way that creates divide and separation, has kept the world in a state of perpetual chaos.

The Client of the Whore of Babylon is dying.   We hear how he came to be the lover of the Great Whore.  And in his story lies the story of the last 5,000 years of civilisation; from Sumeria to Babylonia, Egypt, Rome, Britain and now to the great empire of the United States of America.  But as we see his-story laid out  before us, what begins to appear is her-story.  It was his great arrogance and greed which turned her into the "Whore".        And now, with his death, brings the possibility for something entirely new - someone who may be able to transform "the Great Whore" into something of her original glory - the Glory which is the simplicity of Love.

His life was terrible. He couldn't tell the overwhelming bad from the trickle of good. 24 hours felt like 24 years. Going to school and coming back was jumping through hoops all by its own.  George persevered, if only for his sake, until things became increasingly dire. Breathing air was hardly better than six feet of dirt and a tombstone.  But things changed. After 14 years, George finally believed.

Diary of a Fallen Angel - bird with a broken wing
1 part / 13 pages
,
updated Dec 28, 2013

This is the story of a woman who goes to a dance class and falls in love with the dance class teacher. It isn't a conventional romance. He's cold, emotionally immature, distant, and worst of all he wears green jeans and green shoes...There is no way she wants this to be happening! She ends up tied to his bed-post asking how on earth did this happen? Then he leaves her telling he needs to 'go for the real gold.' He thinks he can find someone better for him, less demanding of his efforts, and tries to find his ideal. She's gotten under his skin, he can't get her out of his heart, and the ideal is proving elusive to find. The story follows her reflections on how she came to meet this man, how her life has played out, and what she is learning from this journey. It is a more real version of Hollywood romance. Neither of them would have chosen one another, but they seem to be drawn to one another and neither of them can escape the pull of their hearts' desire. There are quirky insights into the human psyche, and it looks at the expectations that people have when they enter into a relationship.... He returns but this is just the start of their journey into learning how to be with each in their very different ways...

This is a story about two people who left the city and moved to the country to look after their parents. Bit by bit, their lives changed, unitl it got to the stage where they didn't recognise themselves anymore. Their lives were no longer about what they wanted, it was about their parents and how they fitted into their lives. Leaving them trapped in a world that was like groundhog day, same thing being repeated over and over again Out of their own desperation, they begin to think of ways in which they could get the people in the village talking. Once they started asking people about themselves, they realised that they didn't really know the people who were around them, and were quite shocked to discover what secrets were hiding behind closed doors. They had been curious to find out why Mrs Richards went to the post office every Tuesday at 11.30, but were shocked to discover the reason why. And another one was the next door neighbour who Nikki thought she knew so well, but had no idea who she was or what knowldge she had to share with them. As they say, things are never as they appear to be, and from this act of despearation came many wonderful discoveries, which all work to bring the community together, and they go through a journey of self-discovery

A boy of 17 intrigued by all things subtle and often over-looked, is diagnosed with a multitude of mental illnesses, and therefore prescribed a vast array of medications. Flattened by the weight of his peers judgement, he isolates himself away for years, refraining from all social contact and destroying all that is technological, but for one item, his laptop. With this lone piece of hardware he begins to write out his daily thought process, delving deep into his mind and its peculiar predicament. This habit however, begins to lead him further away from the social norm; letting the onset of further troubles lead psychologists and his family to the conclusion that his mind has begun to break down. Now left with little options, he begins to dig a little further into his now labelled "insane" mind, and unravels a philosophical outlook that warps the boundaries of 21st century living, and therefore sends him on a journey for not only his sanity, but for his life.

This is an inspirational book written to identify with abuse survivors and offer them hope for healing. It is also meant to assist in understanding those who are abused, for anyone desiring to be supportive of them.  It gives a daily reading throughout the year, including a scripture.  This book was written by an abuse survivor/victor who is a single mom of 4 children. I am alive only because of the divine hand of God Who sustained my very life throughout 30 plus years of abuse by 13 different abusers. My mission is to offer hope and understanding to all those trapped in pain and the aftermath of abuse.
