A ballerina attempts to create herself within a continually evolving dance world, while struggling with Dissociative Identity Disorder. Her alternative personality is an obsessive young male dance with a homicidal tendencies, whose aim in 'life' is to keep the host personality, Aldora, safe, regardless of the lives of others. This work explores the relationship between moral judgement and personality, the way the alternative personality can overpower Aldora's morality.

A boy of 17 intrigued by all things subtle and often over-looked, is diagnosed with a multitude of mental illnesses, and therefore prescribed a vast array of medications. Flattened by the weight of his peers judgement, he isolates himself away for years, refraining from all social contact and destroying all that is technological, but for one item, his laptop. With this lone piece of hardware he begins to write out his daily thought process, delving deep into his mind and its peculiar predicament. This habit however, begins to lead him further away from the social norm; letting the onset of further troubles lead psychologists and his family to the conclusion that his mind has begun to break down. Now left with little options, he begins to dig a little further into his now labelled "insane" mind, and unravels a philosophical outlook that warps the boundaries of 21st century living, and therefore sends him on a journey for not only his sanity, but for his life.

Love's Linguist
2 parts / 8 pages
,
updated Dec 14, 2013

Love's Linguist is a novel for women who do not see themselves as beautiful when they truly are. It is a seductive read for those who secretly yearn for romance while acquired thinking tells them to be cynical. It is a book for those spirits who believe there is more soul to life than what is currently sold through commodities of life... Mentally unwell Peta Hearn doesn't want to go looking for love but is inexorably drawn to it. Lee Harmony is looking for scientific research when he stumbles wordlessly upon it. They do have a child despite their professional ambitions and ages; sex, however, is problematic when rigid structures of religious morality, confines of cultural beauty, and acquired thinking about gender get in the way of equilibrium and unity.
