In this poem, God is singing over His child as He offers hope and healing to the abuse survivor. The restoration He can bring to a shattered life turns darkness to light, ashes to beauty, and heart-shreds to golden threads.

A teenage sensitive girl writes about her feelings to things in this world she doen't understand and those that she loves and hates, as she can not express them out loud with words. Amie alone overcomes the emotional hurdles of growing up witnessing abuse towards herself and her sisters from her father, her parents getting a divorce, leaving the house and town that she had grew to love and losing Jessica her bestfriend, the one person she could tell everything to. Amie defeats these obstacles and truly finds out who she is and what life is all about. New love is found and new love is lost . You will laugh, cry and come back for more. All Amie wants to do is to be noticed just as the earth wants to be to, she wants teenagers to read how not saying something in a rough time can hurt more then you think .Parents don't know their teenagers and teenagers don't know their parents. Growing up in this society today is hard but what people don't realise is that they are the society, really you can't complain about something you are a part of, something that you are shaping. There are many people in this world Amie comes across fear and evil but how she faces itis what makes her the character she is. Just face it, its exactly like a blind man saying hes scared of the dark or a deaf man saying hes hates the sound of the rain. Not everything comes so easy.
A CIRCLE OF FRIENDS written by Brandon BrawnerDEDICATED TO ALL MY FRIENDS WHO HAVE TOUCHED MY LIFE A CIRCLE of FRIENDS you are to me,You lift me up and set me free; You open my eyes when I cannot see,To show me what I can be. Each of us with a wisdom,Different in our view;Wisdom from experience,And we offer it to you. From you to me it passes,Around our circle of friends; There are no situations,For which we cannot make a mends. Within our circle grows,A love that’s stronger still; Each of us we know,How this can be real. It can be real with goodness,And caring attitudes;Reaching out to others,When they feel the blues. As one link can weaken,The others will be strong; And within this CIRCLE,LOVE will be the bond. A bond that lasts forever,In this life and past;Together we have forged a CIRCLE,That throughout time will last. Each we walk our own path,Living the life we must; But when we come together,We form a CIRCLE of TRUST. Lean on me my BROTHERS,And my SISTERS too;For when you cannot walk alone,Your FRIENDS are there for YOU. It’s the building of a foundation,Relationships are the key;Listen to these words for a message,Of what you mean to me. Consider yourselves to lucky,That we all are who we are;And TRUST within this CIRCLE,Whether you’re near or far. A CIRCLE of FRIENDS you are to me,You lift me up and set me free; You open my eyes when I cannot see,You are more than just FRIENDS;YOU ARE MY FAMILY! © Brandon Brawner, February 11, 2002
A mixture of old and new poetry that is becoming a hybrid type of book that has prose as well as poetry. This piece is an old school assignment in my Creative Writing class when I was in college. I wanted to give a taste of what kind of person I am.
This is a collection of poems which i was wrote over the past two years. This little compilation holds all the ups and downs of my recent life. through manic depression, eptopic pregnancys, cancerous mothers and a world of naughty shinanigans came this book of poetry. From a young writer for the young and old reader.
This is a poem about how a single feather drifting from the skies sees the world as a whole. Many of us do not notice a feather gliding in the breeze, so I thought it would be interesting to convey these ideas into a poem. The gravity on an object as light as a feather is very weak, so it is allowed to spend a long time floating through the air; during this time, it has an omniscient view of all of us. The personification of a feather sees so much, but very few of us notice as it falls to the ground.
